Bali HaThe motor yacht Bali-Hai ll, was commissioned to be built at the Norman Wright Shipyards, Bulimba, Queensland and launched in 1964. She is constructed of Australian Spotted gum hardwood timber and powered by twin Gardner 6LXB diesel engines. With her classic pedigree and lines, she is arguably one of the best vessels to be constructed by this famous shipyard. At the time of her launching she was Australia's largest privately owned motor yacht. Since 1964 she has cruised extensively through the South Pacific and visited every Australian State. She is well known in Australian yachting circles for her involvement as the Radio Relay vessel in 5 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Races, 4 Sydney to Mooloolaba Yacht Races and the 1988 Bi-Centenary Yacht Race. Over her 40 year history, she has hosted politicians, celebrities and innumerable guests, all enchanted by her old world charm and legendary service. She has undergone a number of refits during her career to ensure she is maintained to her original condition, the latest being in 2009.
