Welcome to Dot's Footprints in the Sand whose interest and love of massage and healing began in 1997. Dot Bengough is a certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) and was trained in 2004 by Australia's largest provider of baby massage training, the Infant Massage Information Service (IMIS). IMIS are endorsed by the Australian College of Midwives, Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) and accredited by the Association of Massage Therapists (AMT). Dot holds a current Blue Card for working with children.

Dot is a mum to a gorgeous 4 year old and brings into her teaching not only her past professional experience as a Practitioner, but the hands on experience only a mum can give!

Dot is a gentle and caring professional who is truly passionate about sharing her knowledge and training of baby massage to bring both you and your child the wonderful healing gift of loving touch.

Introductory Course

This introductory course gives you the basics to get going with your baby massage in one session.  It covers some basic massage techniques, recognising babies signals as to when they do and don't want baby massage, contraindications and appropriate oils to use for infant and childhood massage.

Parent Course

The parent course runs over a four week period ie. one session per week with each lasting approximately 1 hour. Massage techniques are taught in stages so that parents can practice at home and come back each week with questions. By the completion of the parent classes parents are confident in completing a full body massage with their baby using the most beneficial techniques.

The course is presented in a relaxed and fun environment with a small group of approximately 4-8 participants. Pregnant mums to be are also welcome to attend the classes before they have their baby if preferred, and they can practice the massage strokes in class on a doll. Partners are welcome to come along and share in the experience too...

The introductory session gives a good overview of the benefits of baby massage and some techniques to get started with.
