The Media Club asks the tough questions at their next luncheon at Jupiters
The Media Club Gold Coast has announced that leader of the Liberal National Party of Queensland, Campbell Newman, will be special guest speaker at their next luncheon on Friday 26 August at Jupiters Hotel & Casino.
The Media Club’s July luncheon with Premier Anna Bligh sold out weeks in advance and an even bigger turnout is expected to hear from the man who plans to become Bligh’s successor when Queenslanders next go to the polls.
The Club’s brief to Newman is to be “candid, personal, and controversial”, and the would-be premier has indicated he will offer a “No holds barred account of the man behind the politician”.
The Club will also put Newman in the “hot seat” with questions from local media about his vision for the Gold Coast if he wins the next election.
Tickets for the luncheon at Jupiters are $85 for Media Club members and $95 for non-members. Children’s charity Bravehearts will receive $5 from every ticket sold.
