With over 30 years experience operating on the Gold Coast, GC Helitours strives to deliver aeronautical excellence. We are committed to providing cost effective solutions for our client base which includes Red Bull, Versace, Foxtel, Warner Brothers, The Champ Car Indy Carnival and Granada Television, not to mention fire fighting campaigns for the Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales Rural Fire Services. And with our scenic Gold Coast setting and central Broadwater location, we are ideally positioned to offer a range of helitours. These all offer awe-inspiring views of the Gold Coast high-rise and the breathtaking landscapes of the hinterland, before skimming back above the surf to our Marina Mirage Heliport.
The company was formed over 20 years ago; however Scott Menzies, its founder and chief pilot, has an aviation background that stretches back over more than two decades. He’s logged over 10,000 hours command time in a wide range of helicopters and has an impressive skill base which incorporates charter, sling work, power line stringing, water bucketing, motion movie filming and search and rescue. It is on this experience that GC Helitours has been built.
In addition to his experienced professional pilots, Scott employs a dedicated ground crew, all of whom hold commercial helicopter licenses.
