Summer on wheels, the Travelling Music Truck guerrilla-style concerts will feature different underground local live music acts each Sunday of the festival’s tenure. The Travelling Music Truck aims to deliver a surprise element to Bleach*, with bands announced a just a week before each event. Each band will play several separate sets at different beachside locations on their allocated day, with the exact locations of each guerrilla concert only unveiled 48 hours prior.

The Travelling Music Truck is just one element of Bleach* Surfing the Fringe festival which will touch down on the Gold Coast this month to showcase over fifty-five art and photography installations, film screenings, music, film, talks, fashion, theatre and food events across the spectacular beaches and venues unique to the region. For 16 days, across 10kms, over 80 artists and musicians will be on display. The Travelling Music Truck will provide the soundtrack for endless party days during the festival, bringing free outdoor summer beachside concerts to a shore near you.

Pirates Alive are three Gold Coast mates thrashing sun-bleached surf tunes and punk pop into a frothy combination they call “garagey, sandy goodness”. Citing psychedelic sunsets, rock lobsters, and shakas as their inspirations, these young surf punksters know their way around a catchy tune. Fresh from playing the local stage at the Gold Coast Big Day Out and a sold-out support gig with Goons of Doom at The Loft, Pirates Alive will be sure to rock the Travelling Music Truck within inches of it’s diesel life.

Pirates Alive will play at several secret outdoor locations across the southern Gold Coast as part of their Travelling Music Truck adventure. To discover the exact whereabouts of each guerrilla gig, stay tuned to the Bleach* Facebook page: www.facebook.com/BleachFestival

A second band will be announced for leg two of the Travelling Music Truck series next week.
